Changes in the Works
Over the next few days you'll see some changes in the functionality and content here in my blog.
I've been fortunate to have Doug Fox, the master blogger behind Great Dance, helping me update this blog so that it is easier and more elegant for the readers to reference, bookmark, and interact with.
Doug is one of the people I know who is not only very adept on the internet medium, he's also a pretty brilliant strategic thinker about how sites can be built and used to create more value for everyone. I am pretty blessed to have his thinking to help advance this site's effectiveness.
Secondly, you'll notice that I have pulled all the entries but the last 90 days down off the site. I decided to do this for a couple of reasons.
First, while what I have written here is expected to have a long shelf-life in terms of relevance and usefulness, I really want to focus this blog on fresh thinking and current issues.
Second, I hope that this will encourage you to come here on a regular basis to engage in the thinking and conversation that is happening in the now.
Finally, I've been alerted to the fact that some of my entries are appearing in places they shouldn't be — and without attribution.
I'm not really all that worried about this last issue; this is all about making a contribution by giving freely of my learning and ideas. However, since I'm working on a book and have planned to use some of my own content and ideas, I really don't want to be accused of plagiarizing somebody who plagiarized me!
I hope that you continue to find what is posted here useful, informative, and entertaining.
Thanks so very much for reading.
Comments
While you are only allowing access to the last 90 days in your archive navigation on the left, don't remove access to your past entries altogether. I have linked and correctly attributed things you have written in many of my entries. And since you recently did an entry where you thanked me for supporting you when you began, I figure you owe me! ;)
I just made a semi-panicked search through my entries to see if my links still worked. The one piece that is no longer available that I thought was great was your speech to the ASOL about the Oregon Bach Festival's plan to perform St. John's Passion. If it is located somewhere else on your site, I would love to refresh the link in that entry.
