Blogging Past 100
It's a small thing, really, but I recently passed the 100 post mark. Given that I just started seriously blogging about a year ago, this feels like a moment to pause, celebrate, and reflect.
First, I want to thank you - my readers - for your support, encouragement, and kindness in sticking with me as I've slowly learned what I'm doing here on this blog. I could never have done this without you.
I want to give special thanks to two friends who really made this possible: Andrew Taylor and Tim Walker.
It's amazing that the author of the country's leading blog on arts management - Andrew Taylor - would help someone else blog on the same subject, but that's Andrew. He set up the blog platform, did my style sheets, and has offered endless encouragement to me. He's even pointed his readers to this blog. Andrew, you're a great guy. Thank you.
Tim Walker, my graphic design guru and brand strategy colleague, has done more than anyone to help The Roan Group visually communicate its brand. His insightful comments, supportive feedback, and gentle criticism has helped this blog improve to the extent that I've been able to implement his excellent ideas and insights.
Tim will soon be up and running with his own blog. I hope that he will be doing some guest blogging here soon about executing brand strategy in visual terms. You can look forward to that. I know that I do.
Some days I feel like I can either choose to work or blog, but I can't do both. I wrack my brain to think of topics, or to think about ways that I can create some value for the people who come here to learn, be entertained, or ponder some different way of seeing the world. It's not easy to keep a blog going. I think I have a lot to learn, but I'm thrilled that I have this outlet for my thinking. It's not that long ago that a platform like this just wasn't available.
I would be remiss if I didn't thank my principal colleague in both business and life, my partner and spouse, Wendy. Wendy helps me keep it real and keep it relevant. Her discipline, focus, work ethic, compassion, and productivity are all nothing short of inspiring to me. Her unending curiosity helps me think about directions to think about and topics to write about.
Here's to moving on to the next 100 posts.

Congrats Neill on 100 posts! Your writing is both interesting and informative.
Here's to 100 more (and beyond)!
Congratulations on 100 insightful, meaningful blog entries that so many of us have enjoyed and benefitted from. You are very kind to mention me. I think it's me that owes you the thanks, though.
Hey Neill,
Congratulations on a significant milestone! I'm glad I could play some small role in getting your insights and ideas to a wider world.
Keep 'em coming.
Neill:
My sincerest congratulations on hitting the century mark. Although I'm not the daily reader type—I usually catch up every 10 days or so—I can tell you that the blog never fails to inform, often in an incredibly timely fashion.
Way to go!
